What is good practice?  Who is authorised to preside?  What is our understanding of this Sacrament?

What is the URC and Northern Synod’s Policy?  How do we do it?  It seems each local church has its own way of doing it.  Why?  Theological and Practical reasons!

Elders and lay preachers wishing to attend this course must have the commendation of their elders’ meeting.  This is also an opportunity for those presently authorised to be refreshed.

Those who have been authorised to preside are requested to attend this training every 5 years.

The day will be led by Revd Ron Forster and Ann Sinclair, Synod Lay Preaching Commissioner.
