Story – Good Friday – Jesus and his friends had shared a special meal, after which Jesus had wanted to pray. He went to a garden to find some peace to pray and took some of the Disciples his special friends with him.
It was while Jesus was there that the solders came to arrest him. Jesus looked very sad, because it was one of the disciples Judas who made sure the solders knew who Jesus was. Jesus was arrested, beaten and placed on a cross to die. Jesus’ friends were very sad, scarred and some chose to run and hide.
After Jesus had died his body was taken and placed in a tomb – which is like a cave- a huge stone sealed the tomb.
On Sunday Morning the women went to the tomb and what they saw make them gasp! The huge stone sealing the tomb had been moved and Jesus was not inside. ‘Where is he?’ asked the women. Mary one of the women went and asked a man, she thought he was the gardener. ‘Please can you tell me where Jesus’ body is?’. The gardener turned and said ‘Mary’, Mary rubbed her eyes, she knew the voice, but it couldn’t be, she rubbed her eyes again. It was, it really was Jesus he was Alive! She and the other women ran to tell the disciples, they were smiling and happy! Jesus friends the disciples also found out the good news too, and today is our turn to share with all our fiends the wonderful news that Jesus is Alive!
Share – Who might you like to tell this story to?
