A Teddy Bears’ Picnic at Crook
If you came down to Crook – you would be sure of a big surprise.
Meet our teddies who came with their guardians and carers for the annual Picnic held in the church hall.
The picnic is an enjoyable annual occasion when the church catches up with baptismal families and friends from the weekly pre-school play group. Many families arrived for the picnic with their teddies, even the Revd Ted appeared!
The fun afternoon included action songs, face painting and craft activities together with an Easter Egg Hunt in the church. The children were given a picnic bag with lots of edible goodies inside; parents and friends enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea of sandwiches, scones, jam and cream with chocolate cake.
The pre-school playgroup meets on Wednesday mornings during term time and provides a relaxed, friendly atmosphere together with a safe play environment for young children and babies within the local community. Baptisms are a regular feature of church life, held monthly during Sunday morning worship.
