Following its successful Centenary Year in 2008, Denewell Avenue United Reformed Church in Gateshead has been working on upgrading the exterior of their premises, and improving the path up to the church front door.
October 17th 2009 saw a successful afternoon tea held at the church, when the ribbon was formally cut by long-standing members Norman and Dorothy Liddell in full view of the gathered crowd - before everyone dispersed into the hall for the ever-welcome tea and cakes.
